Renewable Energy
The quarterly renewable energy statistics have been released by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. From this information it shows that renewables share of electricity generation was 13.2 percent. (2013 Quarter 3 (Q3). The renewable electricity capacity was 19.1 GW. (end of the Quarter). As a result onshore wind contributing the largest share of installed capacity, at 7.1 GW. However in second is offshore wind with 3.7 GW. Finally coming in third is solar photo-voltaics with 2.5 GW.
